EU Member States have responded by strengthening their fight against illegal immigration, with different multi-level measures that include the curtailment or denial of social security rights such as access to publicly funded health care
This publication seeks to give visibility to the problems associated with the existing lack of or insufficient access to health care for undocumented migrants in Europe. The report describes the situation regarding access to health care for this population in terms of law and practice through eleven country profiles corresponding to the different member states participating in this study.
